Julien was your average happy three year old child, quite adventurous, very engaging, he managed to focus on each person as if they were the only one in the room. With an American mother and French father, Julien was bi-lingual at 13 months and learned to be not only the translator, but often the “peace maker”. (more…)

English Boy Raises Money for Haiti

charlie-simpson-pa-588038034Charlie Simpson, a seven-year-old London boy, decided to do a sponsored cycle ride to raise money for the survivors of the Haiti earthquake. His goal was to raise $800 for Unicef however he ended up with a lot more,
nearly $160.000.
Like he said…”it’s gone mad!!!

A Special Night for a Special Kid

kirkwoodKirkwood (Mo.) High senior basketball player David “Chubbs” Stillman had a game he will remember forever on Monday night. And it was all by design.
Stillman, who is a special needs student at Kirkwood and has been the team’s manager since his freshman year, suited up for his high school – and scored six points.
“This night was planned to give back to Chubbs for all he has given us the past four years,” Kirkwood coach Bill Gunn said. “He made the night special.” (more…)

Happy Hearts Fund for Children

petra-sri-lanka-1-lg-28200659The Happy Hearts Fund, founded by model Petra Nemcova, has raised $10 million to help children in countries hit by natural disaster, providing housing for 180 students who lost their families in the ‘04 tsunami in Thailand, rebuilding 200 kindergartens after an earthquake struck Indonesia, and furnishing more than 700 computers for classrooms in places like New Orleans, Peru and Pakistan.
