7-year-old Gina Incandela sang the national anthem for the Orlando Magic before their home playoff games at Amway Arena. Little Gina is an Autistic child, but that didn’t stop her from doing what she really wanted to do.
Talk about inspiration.
This little girl has the type of powerful voice you would expect to be coming out of someone at least 3 times her age and about 3 times her body weight.

Fourteen-year-old Jordyn Schara of Reedsburg, Wis. told Channel 3000 News that it was in her nature to make a difference, and creating a proper medication disposal program was the only solution when she learned that drinking water contains trace amounts of prescription drugs.
The high school freshman’s launch on Sept. 12 was impressive to say the least as she organized the proper disposal of 441 pounds of pharmaceuticals. (more…)
NEW ZEALAND. Last month Minister of Education Anne Tolley and Associate Minister of Education Dr Pita Sharples announced $8.9 million in grants from the Discretionary Grants Scheme, set up to increase the number of places available in early childhood centres.
More than 400 new places in early childhood education centres will be available thanks to this newly announced Government funding.
“The grants include more than $5 million for new capital works in Counties Manukau, an area where participation rates are generally lower. Other projects will create 70 places in Samoan immersion centres, a new centre in Arrowtown, and services for Māori, Pasifika and refugee communities. (more…)
TOKYO — If you could give your child the gift of perfect pitch — the ability to identify a note simply by hearing it — would you? The few who are born with perfect pitch say notes have a concrete identity and presence, almost like colors, and being able to intuitively recognize it gives music an almost three-dimensional quality.
To put it simply, “if you taste a dish and you can name every ingredient — that is like having perfect pitch,” said pianist and music teacher Chizuko Ozawa. (more…)
